Hi, I hope I am not stepping outside the guidelines with this question, let me know if I am:
A friend wants to sell his largish non-hunter sailboat in Florida, any thoughts on the best web service besides e-bay to do this? I Google this question and see so many, are any better than others?

Tell your friend to list his boat on this site . I had mine listed here with good results . Not sure what others experience has been .

Just wanted to say, this is the _perect_ way to ask this and stay within forum guidelines. Thank you. :)

IMHO, craigslist is a requirement. Beyond that I would use more than one of the online listing sites. The only one I would rule out if boattrader, as it doesn't seem to get strong results for larger sailboats. But that's based on hearsay.

I, too, have gotten good results from Craigslist. But if you use it, you should be prepared to separate the rudder kickers from the real buyers. And you need to be prepared to negotiate.

If your friend does not make his home in Florida perhaps engaging a reputable and bonded sales broker would be his best bet.

Thanks for all the info, I've passed it on to my friend. He is a snowbird, and will enlist a broker this summer if he does not sell it himself before then.
Thanks again,
-Chris
