Where to locate air conditioning unit 9.2C?

I ordered a Webasto FCF 12,000 btu reverse cycle unit. The easiest place to mount would be in the aft cabin storage closet with a duct run through the engine compartment exhausting behind the companionway ladder and a small duct for the aft cabin. How about under the aft sleeping area? Has anyone seen an install and have any suggestions? Thanks.

Well I'll answer my own question. It's now on a shelf 10 inches above the floor of the closet in the aft cabin. The condensate drain runs to the head sink and tees into it. Almost finished with the install of a 12,000 btu Webasto fcf unit. Duct is 4" pvc and will run through the head ceiling in the small channel up there and come out at the top of the bulkhead in the main salon next to the light. I'll box in the pvc so it will not be seen. The rear duct will come out from the empty space in the aft cabin ceiling up inside the closet.

Well, the air is up and running and wow is it wonderful! We even turned it on heat this morning to try that. Lots of aggravation but well worth it considering we live on this boat Friday night to Sunday every weekend.

Congratulations...on both the job and on having a family who will spend every weekend on board! I can usually get my Wife to stay on board for two hours without tranquilizers.
