New Jersey Sailing

You didn't say if you want to sail fresh water or salt. If you live in the central part of the state you may be able to rent dry space at Spruce Run Lake just outside of Clinton on I-78. You can't keep the boat in the water but store it on your trailer at the lake set up and ready to launch. I sail my Catalina 22 in Raritan Bay. There are several marinas in South Amboy that have moorings available. Morgan and Browns. Lockwood marina may also have space. There is a yacht club just down highway 35 from South Amboy in Keyport that may also be able to take you this late in the year. Sailing is big at Lake Hopatong but I understand there are way too many boaters there and you spend all your time avoiding other boats and jet skiers. You can also sail in Lake Nockamion just over the border in PA. Off highway 611 between Easton and Phili. It's a nice lake positioned southwest to northeast. I hope this helps and happy sailing with your Cat 22!

South Jersey Locations

If you're coming further south, check out Atlantic City, Avalon, and Cape May on the Atlantic coast, or some of the marinas along the Delaware River, such as Winter's, Riverside, Clarks Landing, etc.
