My father has decided to divest himself of one of his boats (O'day 23). It hasn't been sailed in a while and is not in the greatest shape but it is still all there. The centerboard needs attention and there is some transom work to be done. He was unsuccessful in attempting to sell the boat and is now thinking of cutting it up and hauling it to the dump!!! Obviously I am opposed to this idea on several grounds. Is anyone aware of an organization that would take a donated boat in the Long Island, NY area?
