I'm looking at a 25 foot keel boat that will not come with a trailer or cradle, so I have to factor that purchase into the deal. Anyone have any recommendations on a trailer manufacturer? Also, I've never trailed a boat with a fixed keel (shoal draft 39"). They seem to sit pretty high. Can this really be done safely? Regards, Tom Carlyle Lake

Where are you?

I know of a real good deal on trailors but it might not be in your neck of the woods. Cliff

Trailers

I would say you have two choices, a trailer designed for the boat or a flatbed with a cradle. If you are looking for a trailer you might want to talk to the people at this link. They build a good trailer at a good price. Hope this helps.

This guy is In Canada looks like he makes a real nice trailor. Real nice deal is the prices are in Canadian and the exchange works real well for us. Around 40% off I think. http://www.yachtsales.com/trailers/mcs/custom.html Cliff Hunter 28.5 "Red Dog"

Trailer experiance

I own a trailrite trailer for my Ericson 25+ and like the trailer a lot. Trailrite has a good website, just do a google websearch. Also check out Triad trailers which is another very good company that builds nice trailers. Be prepared to spend at least six thousand dollars or more for a new trailer. Also after my experiance with owning a painted trailer, get a galvinized trailer. They cost a bit more, but rust is not as big a problem. Ryan
