Just purchased a well used but sound 1981 Hunter 25. I can trace the fresh water tubing from the sink at the "push to pressurize" facuet hookup forward through the bilge, starboard side, to the place where it disappeares at point roughly below the forward cabin bulkhead. For the life of me I cannot find the water tank let along the fill access point.

Help

I don't have an '81 H25, but on our boat, the FW fill is in the anchor locker.

Check above the transom towards the middle aft of the stern.
Mine is there, (but I have an H-31) towards the middle behind the seating/lockers beneath a wooden panel.
Good luck.

It seems a lot of Hunter's have their water tank refill ports in the anchor locker. My guess is that the Yanmar design engineer, who put the raw water pump in facing aft, left Yanmar and went to work for the Hunter design team. What were they thinking about?

PS: I moved my water fill just forward of the anchor locker on deck, where it should have been to start with....

do tell timtom6003, where was it? Or have you not been back to the boat yet?

Hopefully will be able to checkout the consensus feedback - forward in the anchor locker this afternoon (Saturday). Waiting for the thunderstorm track to pass through. Will advise for sure. Apperciate the input. While waiting ...Anyone got an idea on the size of the tank? ..bladder? How to clean/purge?

:) To all of those kind enought to respond to my water hose question. Finally got to the boat this past weekend and ...

1. There is no deck level fresh water fill. 2. In fact, there is no freshwater fill point anywhere .... or tank! While the sink faucet is connected to an 1/2" water quality hose, it terminates (literally) under the V birth hatch access to the bilge. Assume, way back when, the fresh water tank was an option for that location that was not "activated" at time of original purchase.

A BIG thanks to all for the feed back!
