where is the water from?

I have a catalina 25 that was in Slidell at thetime Katrina and Rita came to visit. What I need to know is that I put the boat on a trailer and I seem to be getting water into the forward dinette area, no water is in the starboard settee nowater is in the aft area no water is in the cockpit lazeratte....but I can dry the water in the dinette and the next day I have water again ,where is this coming from? a little demon? Is there a forward bilge? thanks,John

Hard to say

Water could be seeping from the freshwater tank in the bow, or from seawater collected around it. Taste the water to see if it's fresh or salty. Has it been raining lately? Water could be seeping down from stanchion holes and gasket leaks around the windows. One way to discover is to sit inside and have someone spray the boat as if it were raining. Good boat, the 25.

Freshwater tank

The freshwater tank is in the starboard side and it is dry, wondering if during the hurricane the water could have come up someway around the swing keel..appears to be Lake Ponchatrain water. (going on the color not taste)

The water that seeps in does taste salty and it is brownish...been on the hard for 2 mos
