I would like to install some cockpit speakers but am having some difficulty locating where the conduit exits in the aft. According to the manual it exits in the port aft locker. I have looked and reached into every possible cavity and cannot locate it. Looking into the port transom locker I do not see a conduit there either. I have located the conduit at the panel and also under access plate in the head, but aft from there I don't know where it went. Anyone have an idea?

Aft cabin

If you look above the port side in the aft cabin, there is a panel, attached by screws, that can be removed. We mounted our speakers under the stern rail seats, running the wire through there with fish tape. It only took about two hours for the whole installation.

Sweet mystery of life

Now you know why I want $500,000.00 to assist with installing a stereo. Actually this is pretty easy, the conduit is located forward of the port aft lazarette. You may not be able to see it, but if you use the aft cabin access and look forward (on the port side) you should be able to see it. Also, there is an access panel in the aft cabin that you may be able to feel the conduit. An interesting note, in the head in the medicine cabinet there is a flap of material that when unsnapped allows access to the conduit by the power panel. A fish tape runs through the conduit real easy and is an easy pull, keep in mind that I don't have an autopilot, so I don't know how full your conduit will be. Don't forget to put a pull string (for future cables)in the conduit if there isn't one there already. Regards. Bruce Neon Moon

Done....Thanks all

Sorry Bruce I did it without you...went to Home Depot and bought a 20' fish tape stuck it through the conduit in the nav station and it slid like butter and ended up at the rudder post behind the aft removable bulkhead. Speakers are in (opted for the steering pedestal as we wanted tunes by the 4th of July...LOL) and they sound great. We also opted for the 6" 2-way Pioneer speekers from West Marine for about $160 I think. If you use your compass you need to locate them at least 3' from the thing or it will spin like a top.
