Where is hull serial number on an O'Day 17"

I'm insuring my new-to-me O'Day 17' Daysailer 'Odie'. The insurance company wants the hull serial number and I can't find it. Is there one on the hull? Where is it hidden? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Peter Johnson O'Day 17' Daysailer 'Odie'

On mine

The hull serial number on mine is in the cuddy just below the storage area on the flotation tank in the bow. I have an 1968 model, so I don't know if that has moved since then. HIN

On my DS II (1974) the HIN is stamped in the fg between the two rudder fittings on the outside transom. It will read XDYD, then the next four number will be the sail number and the last four, the month and date of manufacture.
