I just named my 1996 Hunter 23.5. There is no open area for the graphics, does anyone have a suggestion?

Well, I have a 26

and it is, of course, similar. I removed the squiggle, and put the name there. You can see it in the photo forum. Good luck.

Disocloration

Did you have discoloration when you removed the factory decals. I have a 1993 and when I removed the registration sticker I notices a color difference. I would like to name my boat as well, but I don't want the tacky color difference where the old decals used to be. Did you have this issue? Is there a way to blend the colors somehow? Thanks, Kevin

Remove "Hunter" name

The previous owner removed the Hunter name above the stripe and kept the "swoosh/squigle" thing and had the name printed in the idnetical font that Hunter uses in the same navy blue vinyl. The boat name is "Heeling Powers". The previous owner put "Heeling" above the line and "Powers" below the line. It looked so good and we loved the name that we kept it. You could do a variation of this by putting the boat name above the line and the home port below the line. The font Hunter uses for their lettering is called "Albertus Medium" with rounded intersect points. Take this information to any sign shop that does vinyl decals and they will know exactly what this means. Sorry I don't have a picture for you but I'm sure you know what I mean. I also did my registration numbers in the same font. Hope this helps.

Hey Sail33811

Mine is a 1993 (the one in the picture). I removed all factory graphics using a 3M stripe off wheel, then restored the hull using the Vertglas system. There is a very slight difference where the old graphics were, but you have to be about 1 foot from the hull and looking hard to see it. Standing 5 feet away from the boat you cannot see it. I would not worry about it. Also, the stripe I used is 3 inched wide, so I used that to cover the entire area where the 2 thinner stripes used to be. I'll post more pics of the new Hunter graphics and my custom registration numbers.

Fan of the Squiggle

I have always liked the squiggles on the 23.5 and the 26. TOtherwise they tend to look like soap dishes. We put Proposal's name in place of the Hunter name on the sides. Attached is a photo. Note: People were always asking about who manufactured the Proposal brand. Markdb
