Where can I get styrene?

I read that if you wipe the area to be repaired with styrene, it will partially reactivate the Gel Coat. This will create a partial chemical bond with the repair rather than a simple mechanical bond.Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate a source for styrene. Does anyone have any suggestions?TIA.Eric

In N. California & Pacific N. West try TAP Plastics. They will also ship if you order online. Being flammablabe however, the product will come by road or special Fedex. Their website is www.TAPPLASTICS.com. Otherqise try fiberglass Hawaii (HI, , Santa Barbara & Santa Cruz, CA). I have heard that some West marine's also have the stuff.I am not knowledgable about stores in East or Midwest.ThanksJim Willis
