None Yet Still Looking Northern Illinois
I'm looking at buying a used sailboat (30-35'), and really would like to have the integrated swim platform design to make it easier for the kids to get in and out of the water.

What were the earliest model years the integrated swim platform was available in this size range for the Hunter models?

I believe that Hunter came up with the new generation sailboats (featuring, among many other great improvements, the open transom that you are looking for) in 1992.
We own a 1995 Hunter 336 and we just love it! The open transom is great for kids but also for the dinghy and to go ashore with the dog.

Good luck!

The swim platform is a life-saver, literally. It makes it much easier to haul someone up who's fallen in the water, and it enables a solo sailor to save himself.

I own a 1988 Hunter 30 that has a swim platform/walk through transom. I really like this feature. This boat also has a full rear berth which is also a nice feature.

I believe the first Hunter with a swim platform was the '87 Legend 35. Eventually all the models switched from solid transoms.

My 1990 Hunter 33.5 has a swim platform, and I agree it was a factor in switching from a 1985 Hunter 28.5 With four kids who love to swim off the boat in summer it will make a big difference.
