Who sells the wheel pedestal cockpit table? Also, is worth getting or more of a hassle?

Same topic but a little different info needed; I have a cockpit table that came with my boat but it is not folding. It came with two brackets that attach it to the pedestal guard but it's a pain to put up and take down. I would like to convert it into a folding table. I can figure out how to attach it with hinges but haven't found "hardware" to hold the table up. I don"t just want to stick a pole from the table to the cockpit floor, too easy to kick and spill all contents. So I guess I'm looking for someone that sells parts. Any ideas? I didn't find anything here:http://shop.catalinaowners.com/cat.p...l+Mount+Tables, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right place!

When I bought my boat there was a cockpit table on it already. It is a good thing to have. I eat most of my meals out there, use it when I am grilling to put things on, and for entertaining.

If you get a cockpit table, make sure you make a cover to go over it and the helm. It will be much easier on it over time, if it is wood.

Here a picture of a Teak table I made for our Seaward S23. You are correct the prices of other quality teak tables and their hardware kits are out of this world. Note this is custom design and mounting system, but can fit any pedestal guard. Also note the Compass Rose, these are found on high end tables. Let me know if you are interested.

bigpapaporsche: Thats a nice looking table! Does if fold down? I do already have a very nice table in new condition but want it to fold, my mounting brackets do not allow for that.

Spindrift NH: Thanks for your nice comments. I have "Champagne Tastes," but unfortunately I am on a "Beer Budget." I wanted a custom solid teak table that would complement the pedestal, while adding a high level of function to the cockpit. The design I developed does that.
The first picture shows the table folded down against the pedestal. The second picture shows the unique method I came up to attached the assembly to the pedestal that includes a SS piano hinge. The last picture shows the bottom support piece. Note the 1/4 SS rod that is bent to form the table's support. This provides an extremely solid table when it is in the up position.

Go to an RV store and pick up a foldind table leg that is adjustable in length , that is what I did and it works great
