I just purchased a 1993 H-23.5 and would like to buy a trailer wheel hub assy for the stock trailer. I think it would be a good idea to carry a spare when trailering. Can anyone tell me how to find out who made the trailer etc or how I go about finding the replacement hub for this trailer? Who made the trailers in 1993? where is the serial number on the trailer? thanks James

There is a serial number stamped in on the tounge. Ken's Welding made some of the trailers as did Magic Tilt. You'll need a drum not a hub if yours has brakes. Pull the bearings, (as you likely need to repack them anyway) write down the numbers and call Champion Trailers in Slidell to get the drum. http://www.championtrailers.com/

Bearings

Bearings are most probably 44649 and 68149 there are two different seals that it could be either 1.71" or 1.68" inside diameter. I think the hub or drum would be the same with either seal but maybe not. Keep an eye on the axle as it is a 3500# axle and your rig is likely at least that with every thing on it this was the weak link. I added a second axle to mine just for that reason.
