We have a Hunter 23.5 with the factory supplied trailer. We finally cooked the bearings and I am trying to prepare to replace them in the spring. The boat and trailer are 200 miles away - does anyone know where I can get the specs for the bearings?

If you contact the trailer manufacturer they should be able to tell you. Otherwise, you go to the trailer (you have to go there to fix them anyway), pull out the bearings, seals and races and bring them in to a place that sells them and they will ID them, or you look at each of them and they will have a make and number stamped in each one so you can buy them on line.

Gzirn, in addition to what BB said, check the axles for signs of deterioration. Not knowing how much you cooked them ( medium or well done) damage may have occurred.

Thanks all - Mark I think we got them about medium rare - I am pretty sure I can salvage with a little emery paper clean up and I took BB's advice did some measuring and then went to Northern Hydraulics with the specs provided by JSG - I'll be on the road this spring!

Gzirn;

You should know the bearings are 1.98 or 2 inch for easier reference. You will need to replace the bearings and racers. Look at the rest of the hub and if it is warped, then you can buy a new set. If you have brakes, you will need to rebleed the lines if you have to remove the lines or any parts of the brake system. Hope this helps you.

I forgot, when ordering parts, take the wheel size and number of studs information with you too. I believe it is a 14 rim
