Shouldn't the covers all be the same colour? ( N.B. know very little about U.S.Marines, R.C.A.F. Vet)
different branches me thinks, white would be Marine always (in dress blues)....Blue (other) is Army?

yes, wrong period slightly, but only by several months (July 4 1912 flag there?)...
they're all good guys...(regardless of branch or cover color)...and thx to the R.C.A.F as well!!

I looked closely and the top of the flag is folded to the other side. So there might be a sixth row of stars there. Clearly on the host side one can see five rows, but I think the sixth is not visible. I'll check to see if there are any other images showing the canton.
