What's the diff?

Thinking about getting a EPIRB. What's the difference between Cat I and II EPIRBs? I see some transmitt GPS coordinates and others just transmit an identification code once activated. Is that the difference Is provide location and II let someone know your in trouble?semper fidan

Automatically or manually deployed
