whats the best prop for the omc on a 25

I have 2 props a 2 blade on the omc and a new never installed 3 blade what prop would work the best for river running and inland lake sailing no races for this boy.

Hi Ron -I don't know what type of boat, what type of engine, or what type of conditions you sail is. However, if you can assume that both props you already have are designed for your boat/engine/transmission, it's safe to say you'll get more torque (initial thrust) and power in chop with the 3 blade, but will also get more drag when sailing. It's a trade-off, but you're lucky you already have 2 props to experiment with.Best,Trevor

Try both props at a given rpm....which one gives you the most speed, will in most cases be the best.
