What is the pole called that holds the jib out while sailing down wind? This pole goes from the mast out (port or stdb). Also, how long and what size pole? thanks for all your help. Rick

Whisker Pole

Should be adjustable from "J" to 1.5 X J J on the 28.5 is 12.1, therefore it should be able to extend to 12.1 X 1.5 = 18.2
