OK, so it was over a year ago I posted a note on the forum wondering if anyone had some good ideas for a name for my boat as I was in need of inspiration. And yeh, so my boat is a 701 made by British Hunter, a different company. But I did promise those who were kind enough to give some suggestions to come back and let them know the final outcome. Well I finally settled on "An T'Sealgair". Some of you - nah - all of you are saying; How the hell do you say that! Well it pronounced 'an shalgar' and its Gaelic for 'The Hunter'. I like the name, but I do get fed up with explaining how to say it, even in my neck of the woods. Once the Union and the Forth and Clyde canals are finally restored (which is underway at the moment) I'm looking forward to motoring through to the west coast (were there are more Gaelic speakers), throwing up the stick, going for a sail and someone saying "Why's your boat called the hunter?"Thanks again.
