What's a Laguna

Who has heard of Lagua Yachts?? are they an offshoot of columbia, or Lancer, are they made By Frank Butler's nephew?? I understand they were mad in the 70's and 80's in Irvine California. What is their reputation, solid?, junk? anything, help me guys, and Gals, what even obscure thing have you heard ?

If you go to Nanaimo charters website they have a 30' in their fleet. They are very beamy, and the int. is exelent. I loved the look of the boat. It charters out great, one of the first boats booked. I did hear the bottom was very, blisterd , it was about 5,500 cnd to recoat the bottom. I hear this is a weekness with the boats. Check for blistering. Seemed to sail ok when I was on it in light air. I have no comment on heavy air as I have never been on it in real wind. Brad
