Hello Beneteau-owners.

Just bought a Beneteau First 38 a week ago. This is my first post.

In the transom there are two lines in each side of the transom coming through. They have a cleat on the inside of the transom. Does anyone know the purpose of these?

Also there are four 'eyes'. They seem to be on several First 38s. Do you know what these are for?

To tie a dinghy on? Looks too far aft to be a tiller tamer- if you have a tiller.

It's a mount to a offshore liferaft/BIB. I see you are in Norway, not sure there but many European countries ( France,UK, etc) require a boat to have a liferaft on board.

Nice to have a companion in the investigation of the boat! :)

The one we bought is nearly not updated at all. Everything is like it was when it left the factory. So there is some upgrading and restoring to do.

A new Viking composite propane cylinder would be a great upgrade.
