I plan to install a new Moeller holding tank and noticed Moeller also sells "adapter kits".
These are the three plastic fittings to connect the 1 1/2 ID waster pipe and 1/2 inch vent. The tank itself uses standard NPT threads.
So my question is - can't I just use regular plumbing plastic fittings from Rona? The Moeller "kit" with these 3 fittings and a bit of teflon tape is $38.00!!!!!!!!!
Nowhere does Moeller say these fittings are anything special. I can get either nylon or PVC at Rona or most plumbing shops.
Hate to throw money away (ya, I know - it's a boat).
