Hi all, I am needing a new house battery, and would like some advice. I now mostly sail on the weekends, daysails, an ocasional trip. What type battery would serve me the best, for the money. I am covered for cranking battery.. Thanks Red

What would serve you best depends on what your electrical needs are, e.g., refrigeration, freezer, inverter demand, electronics demand, etc... The simple version is to size your house bank at twice your anticipated discharge total between recharges.

The type of battery people choose is largely a matter of opinion

Sams Club is the way to go.... I have been looking at Group 31 AGM Marine batteries. Sear so far was the cheapest at $280.... but found as high as $400 per for same 100 ah batteries. Sams Duracell is $166 per with a $100 membership. I'll take 3 please!
