What to do with frozen sheets??

It doesn't get really cold here in the south but, today we had a super difficult getting any of the sheets/ropes to work. They were simply frozen stiff. Some of the lines we had to force . . .What kind of damage did we do to these lines and are there any tried and true tricks to get them working after they have frozen? . . .besides waiting for a warmer day?

You'll get no sympathy here.........my boats been on the hard for 2 months, the lakes got 4 inches of ice on it, boats covered with snow...........sheets are frozen solid and will stay that way til spring...........:-(

No way are you in "Margaritaville" if your sails and sheets are freezing up!!! These are mutually exclusive.

NOTHING, ABSOLUTLY NOTHING

WHEN I MOVED FROM HERMOSA BEACH CA. TH LONG ISLAND N.Y.i NEEDED TO SECURE THE BIG ITEMS IN THE U-HAUL TRUCK, I USED A EXTRA SET OF JIB SHEETS, 1/2" DIA., IN NY, MY WIFE USED THE SAME SHEETS FOR A CLOTHING LINE, THIS YACHT BRAID WAS NOW 16 YEARS OLD ROLLED UP AND ON THE GROUND FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS, IT WAS GREENISH BLACK, AND A LITTLE STIFF, i THREW IT IN A BUCKET OF SOAP AND BLEACG, IT WASN'T SHINY LIKE NEW, BUT IT WAS WHITE, PLYABLE AND IN FAIR TO GOOD SHAPE, FOR SOMETHING I BOUGHT OVER 20 YEARS AGO, IT MAY STILL BE ON THE WALL OF MY TOOL SHED.

Frozen sheets

The number one thing in cold weather is to keep them dry. They get wet and freeze up fast. Nothing you can do from that point on. Good Luck..Scott
