Checking out a Mac 26S
Look at the centerboard and the cable for raising it. Check the chain rails for leakage (most do, just need to be sealed). Check the rudder, did someone do the modification to it to give it that needed leading edge? Check the tiller post for play between the tiller and the post. Beyond that and the normal looking over the rigging, there really isn't much else to look at on the 26S. They are really pretty simple, spartan boats. I like mine, done lots of modifications and made her my personal boat.
