Used boat a good value
We bought a 1989 Hunter 30 a year ago and have been very happy with the boat. Although the used 28 is smaller and you will notice it if you plan on spending weekends or extended cruises on her, if you are primarily goiing to day sail then it should be the better value. Combine this with the fact that your desires for a boat grow about 5 feet a year you will be ready for a 36 footer in a couple of years either way.
