Does anyone know, or know how I can determine the size of the zinc for my 2005 Hunter 33? This detail escaped my mind and the survey at time of purchase ... Many thanks in advance.

The answer lies in the statement by @fstbttms
Your boat has a 1" diameter shaft.
You identify the diameter of the shaft on "your boat" and buy a zinc to match the shaft diameter.

@fstbttms is experienced in zinc installation and has accomplished this on thousands of boats. Having supported many Hunter 33's the 99% odds of a production boat like the Hunter having the same shaft size is pretty good.

If your boat has been altered i.e. repowered (unlikely) by a previous owner or you have a boat that is not a production boat, the simplest is to get a pair of calipers and identify the shaft diameter. Youu can also try the "test it" method. Go to a local ships store (chandlery) and buy several zincs and try them on the sahft for size.

Kind of like grabbing a handful of sockets and fitting them on the nut until you find the Goldilocks among the Bears.

In addition to the comments already made, confirm for yourself the shaft diameter inside the boat and behind the transmission where it passes through the stuffing box. Zincs come in a variety of shapes and sizes. I normally install two shaft zincs between the shaft strut and where it enters the hull. These come in light and heavy version. The light version is held on with two bolt sets, the heavy four bolt sets. The light version does not last a full year, the heavy does, which is what I use and have had good results since owning the boat for over twenty years.
