I picked up a Laguna Windrose 25 foot swing keel (1977). I'd like to replace the winches... one is busted up. How do I size these? This is a light lake sailor. Any advice is appreciated

according to sailboat data dot com (WINDROSE 24 - sailboatdata) you have a 700# keel. I would want at least a 50% margin of error so... I'd look for a winch rated at or above 1100#
I would also get one that has a breaking mechanism. You don't want the winch handle to free whirl if you accidently let go of the handle during a lift.
