Replace inboard
Because by the time you buy outboard engine, mount it and install controlls, you'll have spent just as much as you would to repower with a new inboard. Then there is the safety factor. Leaning over the transom to lift the thing out of the water and drop it back in is risky. It becomes near impossible in rough seas.
