Hi, I am looking at buying a sailboat, and was told there are critical lenghts that do not ride the seas well. I believe I was told 28ft. is good because it rides on the waves and 50 is good because it creashes through. The ones in between do a little of both making for a rough ride??

where are you

Depends on your cruising ground...for bluewater, the bigger the better. I have a 30T, 1992 that weighs 13000# and in the coast of Maine, it does very well in seas up to 6', although not my favorite condition.

Thank you, I am in Cape Anne Mass, so this boat should do the trick?
