Hi, all. I am currently in the process of buying a 1981 C30 with the small diesel in it. I have been told by more than one C30 owner that some low end power can be gained by installing a 3 bladed prop. Has anybody done this, and if so, where did you find the prop? Any size info woudl be appreciated also. Thanks, montenido

A fixed 3 blade will be the same diameter (13"??) as the 2 blade, but will have less pitch because it will have higher loading. What you will gain with a fixed 3 blade is less vibration, better recovery from loss of speed due to waves, and a slightly better top speed. What you will loose is 1/2 (or more)knot sailing speed.
