15x13 are you sure,the three blade prop on my 36 says 16x9 what kind of rpm's and boat speed do get under power. I have been looking at both trying to make my mind up. Nick

Yup that is what it said on the prop in two places. I was able to achieve full rated rpm with this prop with no smoke, believe it was around 3500 but not looking real hard at the gage. Normally cruised at 2800 with 6-6.5 kts depending on wind and sea conditions. Get the keel wet on April 5.....

Broke sailor and Jim
I am planning to sail down at the end of OCT is the plan so far and mostly off shore but the the exact date is up in the air. I'll be having someone who is very experienced sailing with me so far more details to follow. Broke sailor do you know what prop size is on your 36. Jim my prop says 16x9 which is very different than yours.

Nick, engine and transmission is
engine is a yanmar 3GM30 with a 2KM transmission. Is that different than yours. Watch out for Jorge, he is trying real hard for some real sea time and he glows in the dark....;D EDIT: Nick this was the prop from Hunter when I upgraded from 2 - 3 blade.

I still have what came from the factory. I am leary about changing the prop because I took this diesel maintenance class in NJ with Mack Boring and they said you can kill an engine by putting an oversized prop because the engine then does not run fully loaded, i.e., 80% full rpm. I have 3 weeks vaca in November if you need a deck ape, I am willing and able. I want to experience what a H-36 can do offshore on a OPB (other people's boat). Always wondering if the H-36 will be my retirement boat or do i need to get a more "offshore cruiser".

either works...
the first 356's shipped with the 15x13 props, and Hunter later switched to the 16x11 without changing anything else. I know because my original dealer installed 15" 3 blade fixed fell off and Hunter replaced it with the 16". Chuck
