Great luck with epoxy

I always use my leftover epoxy bottom paint in my lockers and batt boxes. Looks good and hard as a rock. I don't think the label mentions any need for a cure time of glass before applying, but you need to scuff the glass to get the best grip.....so its got to cure at least that long. IJ

I used alklyd enamel on my interior...

I redid the head in my 1980 H33 and did not want to strip the "wallpaper" from the walls, so I removed and refinished the wood, and painted the "wallpaper" and other fiberglass surfaces, with the exception of the sink top, of course, with a semigloss alklyd paint. That was 3 years ago, it still looks like the day I did it. It is difficult to get all the brush marks out of this sort of paint on a very smooth surface, such as the fiberglass, though - it took 2 coats. Did a light sand and cleaned with acetone before painting.

any more experiences with alked enamal?

thanks jim...yeah, i've read that it is hard to get the brush marks out. this wouldn't be a problem in my case if i use it in the bilge and locker area. a few brush marks here wouldn't be an issue.
