Swede

Hi all. (From sweden so please excuse my bad english) I am a beginner to the wonderful world of sailing. Me and a good friend of mine are looking for a small boat to take our first steps. As it happens we actually found a small and fairly cheap boat in our hometown. Now to the problem. The owner, the old men at the port and no one else for that matter, seems to no what kind of boat it is. The only thing the owner knows is: "-somone told me that it is originated from England.." So therefore, can someone please help us with the name of the boat? Here is a link to some photos: http://www.jordberga.com/boat/ Best regards from Sweden! /Swede

Not sure, but...

I don't know what type of boat you have there, but you may be able to identify the manufacturer of some of the components. If you can identify the manufacturer of the stern rails, keel, or mast, you could contact the manufacturer of those components for some info. Good luck!

English major to the rescue :)

The supposition that this is an English boat looks right to me. (Is it twin-keel?) Judging by what I know of this sort of boat, it could also be German or... Swedish. If it is an English boat try EMailing someone in Britain or posting on a British boating BB. There are dozens of makers of small fibreglass boats in England just as there are in the US. And this boat, from the mould work evident in the picture, is definitely mass-produced. Anyone in England knowing as much about production fibreglass sailboats as we do here should be able to help very quickly. JC 2

Going out on a limb

I'm going out on a limb here but I believe what you got there is a "sailboat". Just kidding. It looks like an Ernst which was made in Scotland I think. Just a guess.
