I have a 2004 H260. In the forward berth all the way up by the bow under the cushions there is this compartment that is in a very specific shape. I can't figure out what it is for. Does anyone know ???

Cockpit table storage
The H26 (and perhaps earlier H260's?) had a cockpit table that was stored in this depression under the V-berth mattress. The H23.5 and H240 have the same table, but when not in the cockpit it goes into position right in the cabin. Apparently when they stopped providing the table and cockpit receiver they left the storage depression there. Well, I'm assuming that you don't have a square hole or other atachemnt point in the cockpit? I think boats newer than my 1995 may have moved from a square hole in the floor to a metal bracket on the side of the seat (both below and in the cockpit). I think the H240 is that way. ...RickM...
