Yes under my jenny connected on both end of this bottle is hose to my exhaust manifold from the jenny back to it.No cap on it what is it for? Not connected to fresh water nor coolant.

Its your water lock muffler.

The water gets in via your mixing elbow which is upstream of the muffler.
