What is this thru hole for?

on my 1990 Hunter Legend there is a blocked off thru hole on port side of stuffing box. Opposite to raw water intake. Does anyone know what it's for? Thinking of patching it up/eliminating it. PM at tropicrec@yahoo.com any Legend owners near me? Daytona Beach?

Looks from the diagrams in Scott's post that it was a toilet water intake for flushing.

I have two thru hulls on either side of the stuffing box on my 35.5. The port valve is the raw water engine intake and the starboard valve is the toilet flushing intake.
