Does anyone know what this plug next to the shore power AC plug is used for?
I can go in and try to trace it, but I wonder if anyone knows what this is for.

thanks

Looks like a plug that's a DC power source for something that was once on the boat.

I don't know too much about it, but could it be for a stern mounted radio antenna? Maybe the DC power source, but what might that be? Stern light? Why would that be temporary?

I had that exact same type of plug on an old 22' sailboat... right next to the mast. On my boat, it was for the anchor and steaming light at the top of the mast.

I had that same plug for an old autohelm autopilot I had on a previous boat.

I actually still have it, still works... I was going to use it on another boat I had, but the guy that bought the boat didn't want the autopilot - I wasn't going to give it to him for free.... Turns out I can use it on my current boat to run my Hydrovane - I'll use it as a back-up autopilot! Ha! (It's been sitting around my house for years. This is not all good - reinforces my tendency to "collect" things.)

Any reference to it at the circuit board?

This is a socket, or in other words a female connection. As such it would supply power. One would insert a plug, its male counterpart, in order to carry voltage to a load. My guess would be a light, but it might also supply power to start a small auxiliary motor.
