It's on all Beneteau 352's and 351's as you can see in the picture(not mine). It's not in the manual. I can't see a use for it.

It's a padeye. Possibly for a spinnaker pole downhaul, or to clip in a tether or jack line.

Obviously it is a pad eye. But neither jackline nor downhaul make sense since the installation in not symmetrical.
So call the factory.

I have one, it's a toe catcher, great to slow you down, flips up when in use, folds down and looks pretty when not in use.

Good one, I done that a few times. I'll send Ward an email and see what they had in mind.

We were overstocked in the parts room. I was asked what to do with. I told them to put them wherever they wanted.

Beneteau 323 owners manual: "Deck layout for classic mast + optional genneker" . The optional forguy attaches to port Wichard pad eye on forward part of coachroof, then led thru single block + snapshackle on spin pole, then led thru single block attached to starboard wichard pad eye on forward part of coach roof, then led to to location as desired for use.

Just got the info from Ward Richardson. I do like their service.

I have two possible answers.
It is part of the Whisker pole down haul option. See drawing below.
Or it was added to conform to CE safety standards for safety harness connection.
