130?

It looks to me like a 150% head sail would be too long for the deck-mounted winches on a 26S. I would think they would have to be mounted on the coaming to accommodate a sail that large.

You can put either on the boat (see link)

This site has recommended dimensions for 135 or 150. Just listing it as an example...airforce sails are suppossed to be better sails, but you will pay more for them.

Either work very well

For several years I used a combination of two hank on sails - a 100 jib and a 150 mylar genoa on my Mac 26C. The 150 genoa worked very well and the sheets simply go outside of the shouds and into different fairleads than the jib sheets. This year I bought a CDI furler and a new 135 furling genoa from Blue water yachts. It was an off the rack sail specificaly for the Mac C. I have been inpressed with it. Good sailing to you. Morley PS- If you are interested in a good used 150 hank on mylar sail for a 26C, I have one that I don't need.

previous link didn't work; here is re-edited link.

Ypu'll have to specify in the box to the right the boat and sail you want...then they list dimensions.

Depends

If you incounter lite winds alot, go for the 150%. If the winds are usually 10K or so, go for the 130%. If you have winds under 5K most of the time, then I would get a drifter. These are made of very lite material. They don't go to windward as well as a genny, but do much better down wind, and are great on a beam reach in lite air. The asymetrical spinnakers are grate down wind in lite air, and after you get used to using it, you may find your self flying it on a broad reach in winds up to 15K. Don't forget a storm jib for those days with winds over 25K. You would be surprized at how well these small jibs work, and how much they help you controll your boat. You will be enjoying a good sail while others are dropping their sails and motorring in.
