No way to tell.

They weren't installed by Hunter. I'm still PO'd. But I got even and copied an Edson design for our NavPod. If yours looks like mine then it's 9.5 inches. Photos #7 & 60 on my web site, among others.

I would verify it...

I measured mine a couple of weeks ago and I swore that it was 1 inch in diameter and 9 inches from center of tube to center of tube (not the 9.5 inches). I am not sure if anyone else has the same to verify or not, but may want to before building anything...

I just checked my Edson catalog.

Standard spacing is 9.5" or 12.5". Pick your tube diameter.

Jim, Thank you!

That was very nice. I am very opinionated on propane installations so many individuals who visit these forums and certain residents here will yell at me. (Hi Peggie :)) OK, that said, My tank is in the stern locker, always has been. The box it's in, had to be assembled in place because the locker is too small. That means, by the nature of the boat, it's non-compliant. But, IN MY OPINION, it's safe. It is in NO-WAY ABYC (or whatever they're called) approved. The rules go on forever. The Hunter 34 can NEVER have propane and still be compliant with those rules. But it's just fine with the Coast Guard. My personal preferences/taste preclude placing a propane locker on the outside of a sailboat. And the worst place is on the cabin top. But that's just my sense of style. I am not familiar with the layout of the 37c but would look to move that bottle to a secure location in a stern locker. The one comment heard here most often about the Cherubini Hunters is, how pretty they are. That locker messes up any boat for ME. But I'm sure it's safe. The dorade vents should be fine too. I THINK these are the kinds of installations that are performed because owners have read doomsday installation articles about the dangers of propane. Good mechanical work habits and common sense will prevent most any problem with this fuel. I would read up on the subject, look at other installations,(looks like you're doing that) ask the authorities (Coast Guard) AND GET THAT BOTTLE OFF THE CABIN TOP! Oh, IMHO, and thanks again Jim, for the nice words.
