I'm installing a stereo in the bulkhead at the foot of the V-berth. I need to run the wires back to the fuse panel. The H240 has a storage area under the V-berth. Forward of that area is an acess pannel that is sealed in with 5200 or equivelent. What is under that pannel? can I drill that area to chase the wires through? I saw a H240 in the photo archives along time ago with a similar installation. Unfortunately the picture no longer comes up. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to finish it prior to launch on the 1sr. Thanks

If it is Like My 23.5

There is only some foam in there. I put my stereo in the bulkhead. If it is my picture in the photo forum that will not come up I'll redo it if I can find it. It is sealed with plain ole almond colored houshold silicon caulk and four screws. I also ran some of the wires between the headliner and the hull. Give me a shout if you have any other questions.

Lots of space

There's 1 screw and the sealant is for looks and to keep the panel even more secure. run a blade thru the sealant and loosen the screw half way, then pull on the screw and the panel will come off. There's the hose for the anchor locker drain and the bow light wire, the rest is wasted space. I think I'll put a removable shelf unit up there myself some day. Keep in mind you may have to get in there to fix something some day, so make it re-accesible. Brian h240
