What is it called? exit plate, exit sheave

I have to replace the vinyl bracket device that protects the halyards as they exit the mast. not sure what it is called. exit plate? exit sheave? the hole is about 3.5"x5/8" and has a screw hole drilled about 1/2" above the larger hole. any idea what this is called and where i can get replacements. i presume it is a standard equipment mast on a '91 Hunter 27. thanks for your help. Yes, they are called exit plates. Defender and most other outlets have a variety of sizes and shapes. Here is one of the most common: http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|118|319697|311636|312069&id=113318

I used these on my previous boat (C&C) and attached them with pop rivets.

Warren is right and you would be much better off using a stainless steel one over plastic. Stainless will virtually never need replacement. They come flat and pre-curved to fit the mast.
