It's still there, but...
It's somewhat variable. It depends on whether or not you have cookies enabled, and how long you can edit depends on what time zone you're in. But, most people should be able to edit their posts for at least a few hours after writing it. If you can't, check your browser settings to be sure your cookies are enabled (in IE you may find that under advanced or Content).
