I have found no magic bullet. I use the following:
LA's Totally Awesome All Purpose Concentrated Cleaner (Family Dollar Store)
Amazon Inflatable Boat Cleaner
Spray Nine (Marine or Landlubber version)

I use a scrubby pad with a handle (from Wal-Mart) and try any of the above cleaners on various stains.
DO NOT use acetone. Lacquer Thinner is OK but I only use it on really tough stains.
Use lots of elbow grease. I spend 4-5 hours on my 9'3" Achilles.

Wow 4-5 hrs a season I hope. I have just about all those things, I'll go at it I guess. Is it normal for the white residue or is something happening?

That sounds promising! Mine could absolutely use some restoring to the surface, thanks

Just use this stuff - it actually works as advertised. Then use the conditioner to restore UV resistance and plasticizers.

I have used this Aurora Marine product and it does work well. However, it is near impossible to find on any local shelf, and I refuse to pay the extremely high price for mail order plus shipping. Everybody has their limits, and this pricing is way beyond mine. YMMV.
