What are these wires for?

On my 2000 Hunter 340 I have two wires, with bayonet connectors attached, that are not connected to anything.
They never have been since I bought the boat new in 2000. They are simply hanging there.
They come out of the wiring harness from the starter motor.
What would they have been used for that I didn't get when I purchased the boat? There has to be some piece of equipment or gauge I don't have.
I figured someone with the same boat has them connected to something.
Thanks for any help.

I have the same boat, same year and I assume with the same engine - 3GM30F. Looking back at some old photos I can seen the same two wire connector hanging on the port side of the engine. Don't know what it's for and never used it. The wiring diagram for the engine does have a few connectors that are labeled as "not used" and one labeled as for use in engines installed with a saildrive.

It's probably engine specific, not boat.
Look at the engine wiring schematic.
Or repost with engine model in headline.

3YM20, so a +1 on the wires are for when the engine uses a saildrive.

Yeah I know Kappy. I tried numerous times but it just won't go away. I was kind of hoping it was for a new meter for monitoring, but I'll take the sail drive.
Thank you all for your help.
