Hi all: I’m in the process of setting up the installation of the ESB (Emergency Starting Battery) system described on the C36IA web site. I’ve purchased the Link 10 battery monitor and intend to parallel the 2 stock 4D batteries into a single bank. After reviewing the manual on the Link 10, I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what the specific AmpHour and Reserve Capacity ratings are for the batteries? The information is apparently necessary to determine the “Peukert’s Exponent” for the battery system so that the Link 10 can be properly programmed. Any thoughts? Richard N. I'm pretty sure you have the Exide Nautilis Gold

(Model NG-4D?) I have linked the pdf file of the specs below. Theses batteries are now spec'ed at 160 AmpHours and Reserve capacity of 250 minutes @ 25 Amps. (I think this is a very realistic and conservative spec, people have mentioned that they have seen a higher rating like about 200 AH's but I believe that is a "tad" optimistic ) As for Peukert’s Exponent, I don't think you will find one for the Exides, so you'll have to use a number somewhere in the middle of whats suggested by the Link 10 Manual for Wet Cll Batteries. I did and it seems to work ok for me. Link to Exide on Nautilus batteries. http://www.exide.com/products/trans/na/recreation.html Link to PDF file for Exide specs (BTW I am the Tom Senator they are refering to who did the original Starter setup, only difference between his and mine is everytime you go to start the engine with my set up you use and "test" the extra starter battery - his has even a more simple approach)
