What anchor roller setup to fit fortress anchor 9.2c?

My danforth type anchor is presently too long for my "High Seas" brand anchor roller as it covers a bit of the anchor locker door. I'm thinking of extending my anchor roller out a few inches by placing a thick piece of teak under it like a mini bowsprit. I'm getting a Fortress anchor. How have fellow 9.2 owners handled their anchors and what type do you use?

Sorry, no answers so far. I have a danforth on my boat, but haven't deployed it yet. The roller looks like it came from the factory. It is mounted to a triangular piece of stainless that covers the entire tip of the bow. The roller is on the starboard side and projects out about a foot. I haven't tried to set up the anchor at all.
