Yesterday was the second race of our club's Spring Series and What A Blast! The forecast was iffy due to a cold front passing through East Tenn. during the night and early morning. The front moved through quickly and by race time, the skies were partly sunny; temp about 50 and winds 15-25. (some gusts measured 27!) What a great day of sailing! Honey Bear spent the day chasing a J-28 and stayed just ahead of a well-crewed and well-sailed O'Day 28 to finish 2nd, actual and corrected. A few boats had minor broaches in the gusts and there were some interesting moments but a great day of sailing was had by all! Dick Vance H-25.5 "Honey Bear"
